Got a problem with FBH
The FBH is ON all the time with the engine when the outside temp is below 6c
FBH still ON after 2 hours and 70 miles on the road
Had the enhancement done so not software problem
Anyone help before I go to dealer

Was your 2 hour journey at speed, or was it in slow traffic with lots of idle revs?
The FBH can come back on in these situations because the engine is so efficient it produces very little heat at low power/revs.
The parameters are less than 6 deg Air temp, AND engine temp less than 75 degrees.

You better show your dealer, as it will be wasting fuel, and possibly could be a fire risk if it overheats. Probably a duff sensor of something.

Why a fire risk? It is designed to burn fuel for as long as required to warm the cabin / 'coolant' fluid. If it burns for longer it will waste fuel but should not catch fire (duration should not be a factor that would compromise safety). After all, your boiler doesn't catch fire in winter simply because it is running for longer periods.

There have been instances where FFH malfunction has resulted in a fire.
It is not, however, unusual for the unit to be operating at 1/2 power for quite extended periods in cold weather, so the operation described above is not necessarily a fault.

I think it is a software problem. Had the enhancement done yesterday and the FBH was running all the way home (130km, about -2 C). This has not been the case before the enhancement, so it appears to me the parameters that control the FBHs activation were changed in the new "improved" software. I guess the guy who ruined the suspension settings had some time to spare...

I've noticed that FBH is always on IF temperature is below +6c. I took fuse of since I have almost always engineblockheater / warm parking space available.
Obviosly engine is getting into its operating temperature slover but there is not that big difference. Now I'm saving 1-1,5 litres of diesel / 100km.
I think funtionality of FBH is most idiotic for nordic D3 owners.

I agree. My previous car had FBH too. I set it to run approx 30 minutes before starting. It shut off when the coolant had reached approx 75 degrees C. Once I was cruising it never had problems keeping a decent temperature in the car (even at -38 degrees C).
It seems like a bad idea to run the heater contiuously for a 10 hour drive. The Webasto units are hardely designed for that mode of operation...
Anyway, this seems to be a "feature" in the latest software. The temperature has been constant for 2 weeks, and it is only after the enhancement that the FBH has been running all the time...
