Promising that Jubbly got this working with the new wires. Unfortunately the set that Martin sent to me has disappeared into the Royal Mail ether. Any chance of another set Martin so I can try and verify what Jubbly found?

OK ive figured this out and got the heater running by directly injecting code.
It also starts the cabin fan and warms the inside too
Forget about using the WTT software as its sending the wrong command to start the heater!
Not an option for most people though 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

All I’m doing is following the instructions lol.
Using wtt 3.0
Select the left hand menu for w-bus (<=v3.5)
That opens 2.16.1
I click the start diagnostics button and it connects.
Then I can click the parking heating button and it fires up.
Though if I click the aux heating button I get an nak error.

Are the yellow High and Low speed CAN Bus wire still connected when you run the heater?

I did fit them and they were connected, in fact to start with it wouldn't work, on double checking I had them in the wrong numbers, refitted and it fired up. so I had the pink and white in the opposite numbers, white to pink etc, as soon as it was correct it worked.

Hi all.
I thought I'd try one last time and what do you know bingo yes the can bus leads seem to have sorted it it goes to fire and stops im getting a fault code off 22h refrence resistance wrong, quick look on the net and it points to a fault with the glow plug.
Far too late this evening to think anymore about the heater but glad I can attest control it from pc, very strange how iid tool says it's ok though. Feeling confused .
Thanks everyone.

Pulling my hair out on this now...
This FBH has a mind of its own. One min it will work using WTT then it wont.
Yesterday i had it running continuously with no issue.
Today it tends to mostly ignore WTT software start commands, but when it does start it will run up for about 1 min then shut down again.
If i start it using the Timed Climate "manual Start" button, it does the same and stops after 1 min.
Sometimes, (not every time) i get a low voltage fault stored on the heater. But i'm doing this with a 40 Amp power supply on the battery which maintains it at 13.6 volts!
See this pic...

The car radio also complains of low battery and shuts down too. I have to start the engine to reset this.
Im not sure if this is just a timer or its actually measuring the voltage.
Again, this happens even with the power supply connected to the battery, so voltage is up at 13.6 volts. (i checked this with a meter)
Whats going on!?!!??!?!

Would getting the polarity the wrong way round on the canbus wires damage the ECU?
Try without the battery charger on because that's extremely high nearly 14 volts maybe over the threshold

I must say my car this afternoon told me my battery was to low for timed climate, showed 12.3v without the engine running.
Though happy my heater works most mornings now
Though can you turn the heater on from inside the car, if you were waiting for someone SWMBO to do a few hours shopping?

Mines stopped working again software wont try to fire just cabin fans!
Can someone conform if it's because the cars warm only I remember last night car was cold as not used all day?
Starting to think webasto software stays within the LR limits maybe something built in heater module.
