Certainly the FBH will shut down\not run if the coolant pump isn't running, it's possible that the software is able to detect that the pump run is outside normal limits (no pressure on vanes) and that is throwing it out of kilter.
Another clue is the overheat sensor
I'd definitely connect the coolant lines back up and try again.

Cheers Chaps
Had the same feeling - just this "strange" fault was confusing me. Will connect coolant than and will check again.

I can confirm - connecting coolant helped and everything came to normal, so clearing the unit helped and EBH works (at least triggered from IIDTool).
Just one thing is not clear - why starting "self test" from the IIDT triggers error E7? Anyone knows what does it mean?Wrapped Satin Yellow&Black; Lovells 2" Gas Legend Kit, OME hard springs. I have read and read posts about FBH and I don't particularly want to take it apart if I don't need to so.....
1) IS THERE ANYONE NEAR LOUGHBOROUGH THAT CAN RUN THE DIAG SOFTWARE FOR ME PLEASE?
[and pref get mine FBH working] - Beer tokens can be made available
OR
2) Is there a definative list of the parts required / hardware, inorder to run the software in WINDOWS 10 ?
TIA
Malcolm

Fuel pipe from tank to fbh pump just about totally blocked.
Spent ages with a v large metal srynge sucking and blowing with all my strength just to get a few drops of diesel through.
Also tried my tyre compressor without success.
The pipe must be trapped somewhere ?
Was thinking of pushing some welding wire through to unblock it.
I suppose I could destroy the mesh filter in the tank so a bit wary of attempting that.
Next task may be to drop the tank and investigate.
Any other suggestions ?
Thanks Nick

OK peeps, before I kick this car under the b@tt: under all (!) right conditions FBH sometimes fires up, sometimes not. WTT test always runs perfect, no faults at all. IIDToool fault code B1D29-93 when it does not fire up. New battery (Exide EA1000), FBH 1 year old bought new from Dan@Duckworths. When it cuts out it's after 2-3 mins, glowplug around 50%. Did a prime, lot's of smoke, flawless operation in a few mins. Any thoughts?RLD Sump Guard

To add to this, WTT sometimes does not detect the FBH, unplugging the power (the 2 pin on the righthand side) and plugging it again "wakes it up" or so it seems. Tests are perfect so really suspect a power issue/bad ground perhaps.RLD Sump Guard

FBH Working!
Had my D3 since May 2016 and never noticed that the FBH wasn't working until a guy I work with said about his and the smoke it produced.
After scanning this forum and reading up on the FBH, I purchased the loom from the DISCO3 store and downloaded the Webasto WTT software. Tonight I connected up and the FBH showed 3 faults. A low fuel and 2 no starts. Cleared faults and tested it by selecting Park Heating.
After a small cloud of smoke, the FBH ran up and stayed running. Cycled of and repeated several times......IT LIVES
Thanks to everyone who has investigated this and provided answers.

Disco 3 FBH live wire
Hi - Is there a live wire that I can test by going straight to the battery to see if the unit kicks in at all?
I have bought an Autel code reader on the understanding that it would unlock my fbh, but to no joy.

Yes, the Webasto will switch off once the door is opened. It will start again when the engine is running.

FBH loom
Hi - I've just bought a kit from the shop which consists of the blue USB / OBD connector, and the black and white connectors. I'm a little confused as to what goes where. Also, I'm using a Mac - can anyone point me in the right direction for a comprehensive guide AND a Mac version please?
Thank you
