Who in South Africa had their TDV6 "de-cat"? If anyone has done it, where can I have it done?

Hi Jacques, I had mine done last month at a exhaust place. They cut the cat box out just below the turbo, and welded in a pipe , ie. no other box. I have resonance or extra noise.
Did take pics will try and post it later
Any performance issues? Is your D3 still standard or mapped? Steves recon that the car will probably need to be remapped

menlyn motorcity Dunlop
Hi J
You know when a buss card was on your table for 3minths and when you need it is is not there
O well - mine was done at the Dunlop branded - Autotyre ? - @ menlyn motor city - the one up LOIS avenue.
The 'owner/manager' who's card did the trick was very nice and said they have done a few already - as in removed the small domestic animal from a D3 - They have exhaust workshop above the tyre set-up. I also do all my vehicles tyres with them for a while now and get very good service from al there.
Then British did the EGR blanking as well - I do not notice any diff - but I drive with a light foot and used the Chrystler over the holidays

I got it done for R 800.00 .
As mentioned they bend a pipe and welded in.
I have no noise or resonance at all, done over 2000km , and no issues,
I also blanked the EGR's. I will say she feel a bit more responsive.

No sorry , neglected to take a pic of the new pipe.
All the work was done in situ, the pipe was measured , bend , until a nice fit than it was welded on.

I was introduced to Johnny Strassburg by George Bosch:
Johnny Strassburg
De Graaf Undercar
012 332 548five

Waverly
Pertoria
he did my RRS TDV8, which has 2 cats in confined space. Nice neat job. he had to fit two extra silencers cos the noise was hectic. Made a big difference, one of them was looking a bit blocked
Car sounds actually better (no silencer was added in).
Only one negative and that is that the car smells like a tractor when idling. The cat does keep the smelly diesl fumes away.[/img]2007 TDV6 SE auto (ex Write off)
