Am I missing something here? The link you posted for RRVelar wheels and tyres. Listing shows as 'Used'. Can't see anything in the description about them being 'as new'. Says 8mm tread which would lead one to think they must be pretty new but they are at the end of the day 'used'.
Happy to stand corrected...Jim

The reason I came to the ‘new’ conclusion is they all had the coloured markings around the tyre meaning to me they hadn’t been used.

I would send the wheels and tyres back and find another set. Even if you get something back for the tyres its still going to be a very expensive set of wheels and there are a few other sets on Ebay for less money (with and without tyres) For that sort of money the seller should have been upfront with the repairs. Even although they would not stop me using them, you would not be happy with them and I assume would not have considered buying them had you known? Send them back and get a full refund and look out for another set, but ask the question about any repairs before you commit to buy. The seller would need to offer a very big discount on the wheels for me to consider keeping them! Good luck!

To my non expert eye these don’t look like they have been driven any miles a all. No wear on the road surface, even a few miles would put some marks in there somewhere. I’d be confident the only distance they have done is in the factory, on/off transporter and moving around in the dealer, no more. I very much doubt the “punctured in dealer” reasoning, these look like that from the factory. Might be worth a call to Pirelli, might give the option of selling tyres on here if still not happy but can be shown to be normal for whatever reason in manufacture.

There were listings for tyres like these before on Ebay. All as new but with puncture repairs and all Ex Land Rover tyres. The seller (no Idea who) had loads for sale but they were all listed (with photos of the repairs) as having had a repair each. This was last year some time as I remember. I would happily use them but not everyone would and I feel the seller should have been a bit more open about the repairs.

Hi,
If your not happy with them and the seller will accept them back then I would do that
BUT
if they were listed as Used and like the linked ones then I think its down to the buyer asking the right questions before hand, like any repairs or damage and something else not mentioned what is the DOT code/ have seen tyres listed "as New" that were the spare wheel & tyre and looked new but were 10+ years old
to me a punctured tyre is worth about 50%
the one I would question as professional is your first pic as it is a bit near the shoulder?
1 puncture ok, 2 ?? 3 no, new tyre for me.

The link states the wheels are ‘mint’. From the marks you have shown on them, they are not mint.Gary

Mint is a herb
The ebay listing has the condition marked as used, a used rim may have marks on it and used tyre may well have had a repair to it.
Most likely all the damage to the tyres / rims has been done in transit to / from dealers on new motors.
Personally i would have the repairs checked, but those plug type repairs are even used on motor bikes, so would imagine they are perfectly fine. If they had been cut down flush most would not even notice it. They always leave the plugs proud for some reason.

UffBrock has a valid point, a stinger puncture would have 'holes' like these.
The tyres might have been used for research or as a demo, either way I personally think you have paid too much for them, so ask seller to refund say £250 or otherwise you'll return the lot back for a full refund.
Repaired properly they should be OK.

I would have them looked at by a trusted tyre place and, if they say they're ok, I'd move on and use them. If they're correctly applied repairs, they're absolutely fine. I've done thousands of miles on a tyre that's been repaired following a nail in it. Never caused an issue.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

A Stinger would cause a number of holes in a line/pattern across the tyre, not usually just a single hole.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

And there would be a lot of damage to the side walls of the tyre from driving deflated, plus signs of having been driven ignoring driving over said scallywag stopping device.
