So are these still available for a D4 and how much? I just need the hardware no fitting/programming.
Thanks

D4 LR Remote Kit from Bodsy?

Hi Bodsy

Are you able to supply a genuine LR remote kit for my 2012 Discovery 4. Only the FBH fitted as standard at the moment.

Thanks

Paul

Yes I can. Most people go for the more flexible app based system, but I carry both types. 👍🏻

I’ll drop you a message.

The app based one is likely the Altox.

Can be fitted instead of or as well as the factory unit/remote with a cable from the shop.

Fbh controller

Hi Bodsy,

So I got my FBH going and burning away fine, I’m now looking for a controller and if possible a remote to blow warm air in the car when warm enough.

I have a D4 2010, any advice gratefully received!

Timed Climate

Hi Everyone,

I've just bought a late 2016 Disco 4 (Graphite), which I believe is one of the late 'run out' models.
It has a Webasto FBH, but no access to it through the vehicle menu. Which, reading through this thread, I'm guessing is a feature that needs 'unlocking'? If so, what is the point of it being installed in the first place? How can I go about getting all the features unlocked and available to me. Thanks.

Congratulations on the new car and welcome
The timed climate setting (which uses the FBH) can be accessed via the central screen. It was included in my 2016MY HSE (reg Jun 2015, so assume you have it too). From the top level menu, it's either the right or left arrow to get into it. The burn lasts for 20 minutes. You can set a single time to heat the engine or everyday at the same time. You can install a receiver to be able to turn this on via a remote control if you want (so you can start it when indors) and there's plenty of info on here about how to do it, and often that kit comes up for sale.
The car uses FBH automatically in certain conditions to heat the engine more rapidly when you start up.
Not aware of any feature unlocking required.
Cheers
 Gary

Thanks Gary,

I tried looking in the menu (as you mentioned) but the only 2 icons in that screen is 4X4 info and cameras.
Nothing for timed climate.
Any ideas? Thanks

If you don't have timed climate visible you'll need to unlock/activate it with an IID tool (or similar), the FBH will work but you won't be able to control when it comes on and it will only work when certain parameters are met (outside temp below 7ish degrees and more than 1/4 tank of fuel), the idea of timed climate is that you determine when it comes on (rather than the car).

Have a look for a local indie who should be able to do it for you...

Cheers Nige,

Will try and find someone that can activate it.

If anyone here can assist - that would be appreciated.
I wouldn't mind having the remote control tool added (I wanted to use the FBH as a night heater whilst car-camping).

I'm up & down between London and Stoke-on-Trent of anyone is offering the service software updating service.

Many thanks.
