Michael, it's fine to post links to anywhere you like on here - within reason, obviously Just as long as you don't all run off there instead...

The car just had the same suspension fault ... again...!
Chris Samadh of LR Canada is handling the issue and I must say I appreciate the help. LR appears very embarassed by all this, and Chris has just told me he is willing to let me have a new car - unfortunately, they have none (ordered 77, received just three). But he is on the case, so no doubt will find some solution... I must say LR are being very helpful. I'll keep you all informed. Tomorrow my car will go to the dealer's again, no doubt.

Suspension fault - random |
|
Looks like mine is suffering .. I have noticed I get more yellow lights and 'bongs' after It's had a wash, but not always. After about a 100+ mile trog up from London on the M40, the bings and bongs started. Nice dry and summy day yesterday .. It always clears with a switch off and back on again, and I think I've sused the knack of doing it while on the move, as long as the road it straight.. and I don't have to steer!
I've seen a few mentions on this site, but as I've only recently started looking here, I don't have the depth of knowledge that you guys have.
Whats the view??
It is booking into the dealer for next week, but I'd like to go prepared for any fob off's
Cheers ..............Somewhere in-between my old D3 and what's to come next .........

Lee,
Go for the Version 8 upgrade... so far no yellow lights and also you'll get your car washed to boot.
Do you use Shukers ? They are pretty good and based in Ludlow.
I do the M40 VERY often down to the office near J4 Heathrow... get a sticker and we may see each other on the road one day.

not sure how to tell the version running in the car... anyone know ???
I've never had the Settings Menu so cannot tell if the FBH menu is still there or not. Apparently you car being an 'S' should not have the Settings Menu unless you have memory seats etc.
So this menu may get turned off at next upgrade or service ???
Told this by LR so guess it true

yep, there it goes again. Seems a pattern is forming.
a) Usually within a few mins of the car going from access to normal hight ( wift 5'2" )
b) after it gets a washing
c) whenever it feels like it.
However, this morning I saw a new display "CAR RAISING SLOWLY"
I've noticed that when going from Access to Off road hight, and all points in between, the rear jacks up and down reasonabbly quickly, but the front really takes its time.
Maybe there is a blockage of some sort causing the SUSPENSION FAULT ??
Anyone know if its a common compressor feeding the front and back ??
I bet its down to it being the new 'toy' and I'm playing with it to much ??

CAR RAISING SLOWLY is not a problem. It is because the air accumulator has run out of air, and the pump is working as hard as it can. The accumulator stores air under pressure, and has enough to raise the car from access to off road height quickly, but only once. If you drop it down again, it will raise slowly the next time.

Thanks. I must have a deeper problem then. It used to zip up and down as you describe, but now just the back zips up but the front is VERY slow. ..............Somewhere in-between my old D3 and what's to come next .........

When "RAISING SLOWLY" mine always seems to be down at the nose, and normal height at the rear.

AAAAARRRGGGGG I've had one! I washed the car took family and mother in law out for tea, 2 minutes down the road and PING suspension failure message and light. So I pulled over and smugly pronounced what was wrong, restart, same happened and again, then 3rd time lucky. So we set off again, 2 minutes down the road same happened - so I carried on as it was still at normal height. Got to the restaurant had tea came out same problem 200 yards down the road. Pulled in switched off and it cleared. lowered suspension raised it, only the back raised, so lowered again and asked to raise. Recieved suspension raising slowly then suspension will raise when system cooled down, so we limped home. Waiting now for LRA the telephone girl and a technician she spoke to have never heard of this one............does this mean I'm first? DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone
