Help!
What would I gain by changing from 2006 to 2007 MY SE? And if an order is placed now, will it be a 2007 MY or a 2008? Confused

The L/r website isn't much help in comparing model years, and doesn't highlight the detail changes.

I guess my question really is - is it worth changing a brand new 06 model for a new one ordered now, at a cost to change of £1500

Opinions please!

A clock on the main LCD screen. Nothing else visible for your £1500. Personally, I'd buy my wife a decent watch instead. Actually, the last watch I bought her cost three times that so I suppose I'm talking c Censored p..... Whistle

An early 2006? Non TC'd....
If you have £1500 to spare then Go for it. A new three years warranty & that new car smell that is never replicated once the vomit & dogs & off road $h1te has ben through it (so I'm told....)

Misread the post I think....

You've ordered a 2 week old 2006 MY and you want to know if you should cancel that + pay £1500 for a 2007 MY

I'd prob keep the 2006 if it's still that new.

I'd change the colour though.... Smile

Keep the current (wrong colour) one & take the (compensation) money seems favourite then.

If only I was allowed to spend it all on bits! but Mrs T seems to think that a holiday takes priority. I've suggested to her that Morocco is nice Whistle

I know I'm a bit slow, but I missed the second way! but I don't want that anymore, not if there's a third way!

Dave

I have an 06SE and recently looked at the 07SE. There are a few changes, one is the clock on the dash, but the more interesting ones are;
- 07 has the top end sound system with the volume controls, head set plug-in at the back for the kids and extra speakers (14?) , the 06 has the Hardmen Karden system just without these extras (not quite the base unit)
- the 07 does not have heated seats in the back, the 06 does.
- the 07 is missing the cooler box that is in the 06
- If the 07 has not been built I really recommend getting the telephone kit installed.... wish I had this option.

So really it depends what kit you want.... I prefer the 06 spec, fridge & heated seats, I don’t want the kids playing with my sound levels from the back.

Just enjoy whatever you buy.

I really must RTFM. The 06 SE has a fridge as standard? ::rummages through manual for the umpteenth time:: Rolling Eyes
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

They cannot do that.

HOWEVER

the sound modules are pretty useful, we sit a 9" dvd player on the lid of the cubby box, run the audio out to the aux in (6" lead) and wife & I can listen to what we want whereas the kids can either listen to another source , our source or the dvd audio via the sound modules

also, if going for the posh stereo...make sure it is the LOGIC-7 one.....imho, one of the best sounding systems around.

Wrong and wrong! Heated rear seats on the 06 SE were stopped for the 07MY. No fridge either!
