this must be a rip off...? |

Well, my EPB has started screeching at me, so right now it's got it's wheels into the curb and is sat in first gear.
Obviously there will come times when there are no curbs or slight inclines for leaving in gear to be safe, so i rang my local dealer to find out about getting it fixed and also to get a 7 yearly service on it.
the quotes were;
Service £325
EPB adjustment £100
EPB replacement, if knackered £700 + !!
Are these prices around the mark of what i should be paying, or am i being taken for a mug? Apparently the service is just engine oil and filters, so i should be able to that myself and then i'll just need the service message resetting on my dash.
Also, i'm picking up my prospeed roofrack this week It's been 10 weeks since i ordered it, but i'll forgive them the extra 2 weeks just because i'm so excited;)

You can get a EPB module from TLO (on here) for around £425, just needs fitting. Adjusting the EPB is a simple job if you follow Haynes or / and Bodsy's Brake Bible.

Well just got Air filter, Oil filter, Cabin filter and 5lt of oil from Halfords for £76, all of which i can change myself.
So timing belts is an expensive ordeal? is it something only a dealer can do or can i get it on the ramps at work and do it myself/ get some help from the VMs?

Never mind there is always another time, it's good to have a price list that is as open as ours to go by and compare though.
You will also get great service from Yeovil LR - Nick (AKA The Large One) when you need original parts.
