headlight adjuster up/down?

Just trying to see how to adjust the xenons on my D3 - there's a lever to the side that moves a switch on the side either up or down. The manual pic seems to look like the switch - is it that that needs to 'down' or the are they talking about the lever? You move the lever down to make the switch thingy go up. I'm confused... Confused

Don't worry! Shocked I'm confused too! Embarassed Do you mean the lever to adjust the beam for continental driving? or are you talking about adjusting the beam ie to move the beam slightly left/right or up/down? Confused If you are just trying to raise the beam slightly it can be done by an 8mm (IIRCC) screw on the back of the lamp at the top, another similar screw at 90deg from this moves the unit left/right Smile If this is what you're after set it up against a wall and you can see the beam pattern move as you adjust - hope this helps Thumbs Up

the lever for continental driving - I've read on here that people don't bother adjusting, but I thought I'd try and do it just in case, but I'm confused as whether is the lver or the thing it moves that needs to be 'up' or 'down'
