I just ordered 2 bottles of wynn's 2 x Professional Formula Diesel Turbo Cleaner 500ml so I was thinking of pouring one in now whilst I have less than ½ a tank of fuel and then the next one when I fill up to go down to my caravan in Devon as that way I can push up the speed a little as there are no cameras or police on a long stretch of the M5 and see if it makes a lot of difference to it I will let you know what if any difference I get.

Thanks for the tip Regards Poppy Ann.

I think the bottle says you need at least 3/4 of a tank when you add it.

I found careful driving was best, so not to use the fuel / additive up quickly.

Worth a read up on this stuff https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Revive-Turbo-Cl...635-2958-0
Could be similar snake oil, but certainly freshened mine up.

Thanks Darrind for the offer I have a iCarsoft Multi-system Auto Diagnostic Tool LR V2.0 for LandRover/Jaguar which did give me the code number (which I have now forgot) and to get it back I will have to go out somewhere where I can put my boot down which here in Mansfield due to all the cameras I don't want to do but next time I get it I will note it down, at the moment I have a extension cable plugged into the socket so I can easy plug in the tool without getting out

was this discussion about the 2.7 ltr diesel engine or the 3.0 ltr diesel if it was only about the 2.7 then I am reading the wrong info.

Regards Poppy Ann.

Thumbs Up

I think all of the previous was mainly relating to the TDV6 2.7 the twin turbo setup of the D4 3.0 adds additional complexity.

I don't mind using it up quickly if it will soft out the problem I am getting fed up having to keep stopping on the motorway to reset it every time I try to put my foot down I have never seen any smoke out of the exhaust up to date but I am thinking I may see some when I use this.

A few days age the system said break pads need changing so I have just got a new set for all round last year I had to get new shoes for the hand brake and the shop never mentioned that the pads were worn or I would have had them replaced at the same time they did the hand brake I expect that they were hoping I would be back with another job but I am giving a guy who works from his home a try as he said around £75 to change all 4 wheels so I will see what he wants after he has done them.

It might be worth checking the pads you ave purchased come with the bolts and clips as some do and some dont - depends on what type you purchase. Also ensure you have a pair of sensor cables (one each for front and rear) as these are wear items and will often break when you change the pads as the clip often comes off and the plastic part it locates to gets very brittle from the heat of the brakes. Also if your guy who will be doing the work doesnt normally work on Discoveries you might want to give him a copy of Bodsys brake bible so he knows what hes facing (http://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=4184)

Hi again yes the pads came with the extras in the past I would have just jumped in and done it myself withing about it but since I stopped work I have hardly done any work like it which is mainly due to it being hard work just to bend down and look at it I would love to have space for a decent workshop just for model making but I make do with a shed.

Thanks for your help with my landrover Regards Poppy Ann.
