'Forgetful' dipping wing mirrors |
|
As I like my wheels and want to take the guesswork out of knowing where the kerb is, I like the dipping wing mirrors when selecting reverse.
The only problem is that mine seem to forget where they were before I asked them to dip....instead preffering to return to a position fractionally higher than they were before. Consequently, after 5 or so reverses, I'm left viewing the tops of trees and the occasional lorry drivers nasal orifice!!
It's not that big-a-deal to then just 're-tune' them....but after discovering the sunroof can be re-calibrated, I wondered if the same might be true of the wing mirrors? D3 HSE 06 with all the bells and whistles

Think this is a known issue and can be fixed by replacing the seat ecu, best to do a search on previous posts.
Otherwise I think you should be able to just hit the memory button and t will put it back to the original position.

Before you replace the seat ECU re-programme the dipped mirrors for every seat memory position and each key. That might solve it first, also check the battery is not on its way out.
