Hi all, I have been driving my 07 D3 for probably 3 months now with no power below 2000 RPM,when on the overun you then put your foot down nothing happens for a good few seconds, after reading all the threads over the months it looks like either split in the hose or faulty EGR valve or fuel filter, the question is which bit of hose splits, do you get to it from the top or below and if its an EGR valve how do you know which one, there are no faults stored in the system no warning lights, can a LR dealer read the EGR to check its operation without faults stored, thanks

I had similar symptoms which was caused by a sticky turbo actuator, which was cured luckily by a bit of manipulation and a liberal spraying of wd40. I did have an engine system fault on the dash though. Could be worth investigating

Remove heatshield from inside front left wheelarch, and with someone turning ignition on you should just about see the actuator move (hopefully) spray area with wd40 or similar lubricant and if not moving in and out freely try pushing it with a screwdriver or better still a looped piece of fencing wire so you can push and pull until it moves freely. Its a bit fiddly to get too but if it cures your problem as it did mine its well worth doing
