Hi
I've been looking at discovery 3's. I'm seeing some at 100k with no bolster wear, but then others at 60k with the signs of wear on the seat bosters. Could this be an indication of clocking or just down to the individual getting in and out the car??
Thx

Short-arsed folk sliding in and out would be my guess....especially if it is parrticularly bad on the right side ie nearest the door...
Im sure if it was the right car for you,but you were put off by this, any leather trim specialist should be able to replace it without breaking the bank "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Thanks, I was just worried it might be a sign of clocking, but the paperwork seems to check out

Mileage is no indication as to the wear on the seat bolster. Or Vice vercer. If an owner drives from one end of the country and back again every day, but only gets in at the start of the journey and out at the end then the mileage will be high but no wear to the seat.
If however the owner does lots of short trips and gets in and out more times than a fiddlers elbow, there'll be high wear but a low mileage. You guys are gonna be busier than a test bench in a plunger factory!
