Have you had any joy with your problem yet?
Just asking as I've been suffering a similar issue with my D4. Been in twice to the main dealer now with me suggesting to them either alternator or battery issue, but they've first replaced a cable at the back of the dvd player! and today have replaced a tailgate switch.
I've told them that I don't see how the tailgate switch can drain a battery when the vehicle is parked for just 10 minutes after a 40 minute journey, but they're convinced they're right.
I guess I'll be taking it back to them next week!

The tailgate switch is apparently a common fault. If it doesn't close the vehicle does not fully shut down. If it doesn't shut down the power is still supplied to the control units until either the battery drains or it manages to finally lock down. This is part of the power down process and can take up to 15-20 minutes.
Sadly, ours still drains, usually at 2-3 week intervals. In between it works perfectly. We just have to factor in those annoying 2-3 days of having to use a booster pack and charging the car overnight!
