Disco3 meet in the Caribbean
Well had a great meet in Barbados, there was me, and me, and me as well
Thought I would post a picture of the venue, food and drink was fantastic, I had a good talk to myself, even saw a defender hiding in the jungle, also saw Simon Cowell, Philip Green snoring his head off, his daughter Chloe and a load of other interesting people, none of these attended the event though as I kept it exclusive
I am looking forward to getting back to the warmth of the UK later this week, I just kept away from the cold, I guess Spring is there now
Here are some pics

View from the balcony was the same boring sunset every night, the only highlight was a passing boat, oh and the humidity on the outside of the glass of the very cold cocktails was annoying, but I managed

Wish I had an exec jet, my bed on BA on the way out here got stuck in the lying down position after I had a nap, so I had to sleep all the way here, helped with unlimited fine wines and spirits of course Got offered a seat in cattle class but rejected after peeping through the curtain to the rear and seeing how everyone was crammed in, even business class looked rough , I just took the free 1st class return ticket to anywhere in the world in lieu, well it's tough having to sleep off the booze you know
P.S. This post is just a joke and wind up, I don't travel 1st class even on short flights

My point is that I get access to the airline lounges at the airport anyway, so strategic consumption of a mixture of cocktails does great things, even in economy, I know I have it right when I get on the plane, close my eyes and fall asleep only to be woken with the Captain saying "Cabin crews seats for landing" I must say on a few flights I have pushed it a bit and been woken with "Cabin crews doors to manual and cross check" that means we are there and pulling onto the stand
Did 7hrs on the way here to Barbados so not bad for a day flight, going home is a night flight so a piece of cake, oh and 12 Mount Gay Rum and cokes plus a fair few Banks beers, hope to be woken by the cleaners at Gatwick

Love the pics....last time I went to Barbados was in 1991
Not missing much, VERY quiet here, easy to get into top restaurants, Lime Grove is deserted, it's going to hurt a lot of businesses, so interesting to see what happens in the next year, the global recession is biting!

Well Bridgetown the capital is like the wild west, very run down, there are a few shops done up for the cruise ship tourists such as Diamond International, and Columbian Emeralds, you also have the main department store Cave Shepherd, other than that, well nothing really. Lime Grove is a complex built in Holetown on the West Coast where we stayed, it is apparently owned by Diamonds International who own all the shops and have placed a well know high end bran in each one, like Louis Vuitton, Breitling, IWC, e.t.c. found a link so here it is http://www.limegrove.com/brand_list.php anyway all overpriced chavvy nonsense, but someone must be buying it although the shops are pretty empty. I must admit I did a bit of Tiffany shopping but that was in Little Switzerland and high end jewellers who were sold by Tiffany's a few years ago http://articles.marketwatch.com/2007-08-02...xp-jewelryhttp://www.totallybarbados.com/barbados/Lo.../12228.htm
The place is typical Caribbean, sun sand and not much else, everything takes ages to get done, OK it's hot but the men especially just lounge around and everything seems to be a chore. The average holiday in a decent hotel for a family costs around £9k for a basic room for 5 nights just with breakfast http://www.seasons.co.uk/Caribbean/Barbados/Sandy_Lane/ so allow another £8k - £10k or so for meals and bits and bobs, so 20 nights is rather expensive with drinks, a suite is much dearer. We had a meal, it was $400 Barbados each, so $200 US, a little pricey for what you get but we had a table right on the ocean not that you could see anything as it was pitch dark.
