Well done sounds like you are well on your way, the back end is pretty easy to be honest.
I have just bought a 5m length of shielded cable with a fakra on one end which I have connected to the rear loom and the other end of the cable I have soldered two Maplin terminals onto. Now I have the lovely job of routing the cable up to the front of the car But I have it temporarily strewn across the interior and connected to the nav unit, going up later today to see my local Autologic tech and hopefully should get the camera enabled.

Triumph Dave and Rob.
The clips that hold the fascia on are a nightmare. It sounds as if Dave's nav has been out before if a screw is missing and a crack on the surround. Was it a demo car or a brand new one Dave?
We located one full clip and 4 halves - they seem to self destruct when removed - but the fascia seems solid enough with 2-3 each side. No creaks or rattles on a recent 260 mile drive.
Hope both the installs work.

I was lucky enough and didn't break or lose any clips, one fell down where I couldn't reach but I managed to fish it out with a magnetic pickup, if you take your time it is possible to get them off in one piece
Got my camera activated today, now engages when reverse is selected, but still haven't finished my wiring to try it lol.
Also got xenons, timed climate, 4x4 info, off road nav and lock/unlock "chirp" enabled while I was there

Well I'm due to fit the fakra cable today up to the sat/nav unit. Personally I think this is going to be the most scary part pulling the front console apart. I'll let you know how I get on. Hi Alan, that was the one I used and it fitted perfectly, both ends clicked into place fine. Only point to note is that the cable is quite hard, so if if it runs over any hard plastic trim I would advise shielding it with foam or felt etc, that will stop any potential rattles.

Hi Rob, not sure if it had been out before..its a 3 month old car. I was under the impression it had not.. although, the dealer had fitted daytime running lights, but they should have had no need to remove the trim in that area when they ran the wiring.. I have a new surround trim coming if I need it in the future, but to be honest it was only cracked by the lower screw holes, just looked like it was over tight?.... super glue repaired it well .
Those metal clips are a real piglet, fairly deep in the plastic trim, so when they fall off you are unable at the time to catch them or see easily where they fall. I Also recovvered one with a magnet, but the others are deep in the depths.. suspect they might come out with time, there was no electronics in the area, so should be ok. I fitted the spare metal clips I had previosly purchased and it all went back snugly.
Maybe rear camera day tomorrow if weather is kind...

Happy bunny today
After a few scary moments including losing one of the satnav fixing screws down the back (retrieved successfully) all went well. The most difficult bit was releasing the trim around the controls as it didn't want to move but eventually gave way after a short fight. Stress level now down by about 500%.

Well, some good news and some bad news.
The camera hardware fitting went well. Fault mate changed the CCF file to rear camera fitted and uploaded and accepted the new setting... The camera is not working though...
Fault mate is also showing 196 faults in its "non-tested area" but does not seem to clear the codes when asked.. ( no mention of camera faults in that lot ) Any ideas any one on the above..
