All this cold weather has been triggering my TPC and blowing rear bulbs.......suppose -9 C makes the pressure fall enough to trigger the 'check all tyres' message, anyway, wee bit of air plus reset the control and all is well, can't say the same for the stop/tail bulbs though, blown 3 in as many weeks
order just placed for ultraleds 35r ones (the discover10 code still works and if you buy 5 rather than 4 you have a spare and the price drops!)
thanks folks....forum to the rescue again! 2007 HSE Java Black.....sold

Well it appears to be consistent Dr. D, 11 months seems to be (for mine), the average life of a pair of brake light filaments. Swapped with the ones lower down to replace first pair, and bought another pair of std bulbs so far. May think about led's next time round though. ........I've seen quite a few D3's now, with only the high level brake light working..- obviously not owned by members of this forum.

Might be because yours is a manual Si, (don't need to stomp on the brakes as much).

I must be in the same boat as Si; 2 & 1/2 years and no failures on a manual. Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

1 & 3/4 years & no blown bulbs, one set of rear pads at 20k (though stealers tech thought front disks & pads had been changed at 1st service under warranty).

Yes, upper ones are tail / brake lights, but the tail lights further down usually have dual filament bulbs(5w / 21w) fitted too,(but only the 5w one is used in that position), so they can be swapped with the upper ones to restore you with brake lights if it is only the brake light fil that has blown in the upper ones. (But your led's should last a lot longer.)
