Rear Bumper removal
I have to remove the rear bumper of my 2008 Disco3.
I need to find out where all the bolts clips and wires are.Does any one have a detailed drawing or instructions for this job.
Thanks
Pat

you need to remove the wheel arches and the light clusters first or you risk breaking some of the clips. go around the inside of each wheel arch and undo the phillips screws and the plugs. To undo the plogs, pull the centre of the plug out first buy prising out with a small flat screwdriver and then pull out with pliers. the out piece of the plug can then be removed with pliers. if you do it carefully they can all be reused.
Then unclip the wheel arches from the body work. you can then get to the edges of the bumper to undo the screws and unclip the corners.
looks like this when removed :

The rear parking sensor cables can be seen on the LHS and need to be unplugged.Duncan

Thanks for that info.
When I remove the plastic bumper I want to remove the horizontal metal frame which the plastic bumper is covering. I need access to the chassis internals as I am fitting a hitch that has the two stabilisers that attach to the chassis. The connecting bolt in the chassis that the stabilisers attach to is seized in the sleeve in the chassis.I need access to this bolt hopefully from the back presuming the end of the chassis is open so I can cut it from the inside.
Maybe sombody has encountered this issue before and has a fix.

Used this post to fix my rear PDC fault which turned out to be a broken wire in the outer O/S sensor cable. Most helful once again as before reading the removal instructions I didnt know where to start.
