i have recently bought a 2009 discovery 3 XS with power fold mirrors.
i went through the options and found 'enable reverse mirror dip' which i did however this didn't do anything when put the car in reverse.
is this option really an option or are the reverse part of them bust?
the mirrors do fold back and the electrics to the mirrors do work. www.thefoodproject.co.uk UK food challenges

With the car in reverse adjust the mirrors to where you would like then to dip to, then save it the memory on your door panel, to the memory slot you have your seat set up on.
Next time you reverse they should then dip to the place you set it up at.
It just sounds to me like the last owner never set it up or it has been reset. I had to do this with mine. I have something to say! It's better to burn out... than to fade away!

I think this only works if you have electric memory seats, which, I don't think the XS has.

To confirm, his XS doesn't have power/memory seats.
i found this information from winger
"You will probably find that you can tick the box, but nothing happens.
The position that the mirrors dip to is controlled by, and memorised in, the driver's seat module. If you don't have electric seats, you don't have the module (which is controlled by the keypad on the driver's door)."
