After cutting this wire, i have the 4x4 screen. (great mod)
But it's not fully working.
When switching between the modes, the 4x4 screen doesn't change.
Only the gear selector (manual), downhill symbol and wheel direction works.
But no heights and the big round mode selector.

Or i don't know how this works. Embarassed

I don't think it will work fully unless the CCF file has been edited to enable the 4x4 info screen.

I put mine back to D3 mode today because as soon as I use my phone it locks the phone screen up and you can't scroll through the phone book.
Wiggs did say this would happen because it get confused on what to show the phone book on...

Not sure its worth the hassle...

The solution is here in this post wiggs has already told us what we need to look for on the board inside the screen, its just a case of finding the correct type of switch/resistor to wire in to the board so we can adjust the level.

If anybody has a way or is up on electronics then feel free to put ideas forward and chip in

Another quotes states the engine must be restarted after the change over switch has been operated to change the mode.
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

To change modes you make a selection with your switch then let the car go to sleep and when it wakes and reboots it should reboot to D3 or RR software depending on your switch position.

Hi Flack

Yes I see Bow down post wiggs, but I don´t have clear something, when you say correct type of switch/resistor you mean the swithc to change the modes btween RR and D3 or I need to found out the brightness sensor...???

No I mean something that can be put in the screen that can control the brightness like a potentiometer I am not that good on electronics being a mechanical guy but I am sure there is somebody on here who can sort this out.

I am going to ask at work as well...

Thanks Flack, now I understand, I have a friend who can help me on eletronics.

Then the idea is to find the brightness sensor and then place the potenciometer betwwen two of the wires?
