Instrument Console
Has anyone got any pictures of a pre 07MY instument console taken apart, I'm looking for pictures showing the rear of the unit showing the circuit board(s) and in particular the various LED's
(looking to change the red FBH indicator to green if possible) Never get mad - get even !!

If you can wait a day or two - I have one to take apart for the same purpose.

I've been funning for a few weeks now with the red FBH light for lights on and have gotten used to it pretty quickly. Because it's quite soft and at the bottom of the instruments it doesn't catch my eye & scream OMG!! at me. Just a thought, might be worth a trial period??

It's fine, I'm just being a bit fussy and if it is 'relatively' easy to change the led then I'm up for trying
(I'm a elec engineer, so used to circuit boards, precision soldering etc)
A picture of the inside back would let me see before removing my own console if it's actually possibe of a no brainer Never get mad - get even !!

I'm from the DIY = Destroy it Yourself fraternity and the naked innards of the D3 fill me with financial dread.

In the other post on here ( and the chap who did it - sorry cant remember name) advised me that soldering tweezers were the way to go to lift the LED as it would be hard to unsolder both sides at once. I did look into pricing some up - but a little expensive for a one off job!
