Diff oils - when changed?

The car is coming up for the 7yr/105k service although she's only done 33k miles. When should all the differential oils be replaced, is this planned for one of the service inspections?

Should the oils be replaced sooner than LR recommend?

From memory its recommended by LR somewhere between 125-150k....but the consensus on here (and my Indy) is a much sooner change is a better bet Thumbs Up

Hi Nick

I have a 06 SE d3 and LR said it was fine @ last service 6k ago, when it had 40k on the clock, even though it was making a noise!! F Censored Censored !!

so got a new diff this week cost a bomb 45K on the clock, so if i was you I would have it changed now! and about ever few years as LR clearly dont have a clue about the rubbish diffs they produce !! oh and they dont care that the wrong oil and paint in the diff is all there fault. should have been recalled and sorted I think

I highly suggest changing the fluids at least every 20k miles or after submersion (fording). This will extend the life of the diffs, and put off repairs as many experience premature failure of the bearings. This is due to premature failure as a result of water contamination and a low oil capacity.
