Hmmm... should be ok at that Confused .......but tyres are a funny thing....I changed the fronts on my wifes car last week....plenty of tread depth left but they had a sort of "glazed" look to them and we both noticed the front end was lacking bite, and getting a bit vague, even with decent tread left...they were Goodyears too,not any old rubbish....

I've done c. 40k miles on 19" Scorpion Zero's in the past. No really bad tramlining when new or worn. Only slightly noticeable on older sections of motorway where HGV's have worn out lane 1.

I doubt it's the mix of tyres, but it's a possibility I suppose.

I'm wondering if your pressures are correct. Do you have an accurate/calibrated gauge you can check them with?

Could be track rod ends/bushes rather than tyres.

I have had the same problem with some scorps. hitting the tramlines can be a bit nervy, espcially in the rain, around 4 mm on each tyre. I put some new wintracs on and complete change, really sure footed. Not sure if it was down to wear or what.

Whats a good alternative to the scorps?

The Scorpion is an excellent tyre, let down by its longevity......plenty of tyre debate on here....main alternatives seem to be General Grabbers or Pirelli ATR's.....

Without getting all preachy, does it behave the same at 60-70 mph?

Like i said, without getting all preachy, the speed limit is 70mph...

I expect its the speed you are hitting the grooves in the road which is unsettling the car.
