Winter tyre choices

Can anyone help me with suggestions and advice on the best winter tyre for my 07 lr3 please , I'm stumped and it's my first year that I'm going to change to a winter tyre ? Thanks[/u]

Lots of threads here.

My preference is smaller wheels, 17" rather than 18" with General Grabber ATs - I have AT2s at present, but they have been succeeded by ATs.

2010 Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 HSE Auto Ipanema SandDiscovery 4

Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow have looked after us in D3, D4 and RRS very well these last few winters. And these were on 19" rims. An excellent tyre that works fine on warm dry days and a big comfort when it gets ice & snow. I get 2 winters out of each one (about 15,000 winter miles).
