FS - Disco 3 TDV6 2005 67k Java Black
Land Rover Discovery 3 TDV6 2005 with only 67.000 miles
Java Black with full 7 seat black leather
2 x keys/fobs and all docs/manuals
Low tax band £260 for 12 months (just taxed 12 months)
12 months MOT (Done 27/09/11 - needed nothing apart from a number plate light bulb), 12 months tax.
Full service history with LR specialist.
HPi clear
This Discovery has subtle modifications which make it stand out from the crowd. It looks fantastic wether commuting, out with family, or at night in the city. I have not had a negative comment as yet, people just seems to love it. Its so practical and for a 4x4 with 7 seats its cheap to run and insure and has the added bonus of the cheaper tax. I have seen 35 mpg and 600 miles to a tank. Its the 6 speed manual too which is more economical than the auto.
4 previous keepers.
Standard spec as follows:
Electric windows, Electric mirrors, Climate Control Air con, ABS, Air bags, On Board Info Computer/display, Alarm and Central locking with choice of 3 fob modes - currently 'see you home headlights', CD player, Power assisted steering, Rear parking sensors, Mud guards x 4, Hill decent, Terrain response, Self levelling air suspension, Detachable tow bar, Rear boot roller cover, Child locks, Floor mats.
Subtle modifications include the following:
Tinted windows and tinted front and rear lights.
De badged bonnet and boot.
20" Super Charger Alloys in black. (with 20" spare too) (2 x brand new front tyres just fitted)
Side Step.
Red brake calipers.
Matt black mirrors (Chrome covers also depending on taste).
The interior is full black leather with 7 seats (2 fold in the boot) with head rests, but the dash and doors have cream upholstery which gives individuality and contrasts really well.
Just had 2 new front tyres fitted. Its very recently had both front wheel bearings done as I couldn't decide which side was making a noise, the EGR valves sorted which can be a common problem, and the EPB (electronic park brake) stripped, cleaned and readjusted which is also a common problem that you don't want going wrong.
Brand new rear disc's and pads fitted less than a month ago when handbrake was readjusted.
I also had some recall work done approx 6 months ago on the brake vacuum/master cylinder as Land Rover called it back.
I have the removable tow bar too but the key snapped in it. I never use it so haven't had a key replaced, but I don't think its that expensive for a new key and barrel, if you need it.
I have 3 previous MOT certificates showing mileage. 2008 - 36k. 2009 - 44k. 2010 - 55k, and 2011 will show approx 67k, but I use it daily so may creep up slightly.
Only bad points so you know before viewing. Drivers seat is ripped where the leather touches the plastic near the seat adjustment levers (previous owner must have been overweight!) Tow bar key snapped as stated. Very small tear on rear of front passenger seat. One or two very small dents (and i'm being picky and very honest) due to general wear and tear. They were present when I bought the car but I don't notice them. Service due soon.
I'm based in Manchester.
Private plate is not included in the sale. Will be put back on an '05' plate.
Usual stuff regarding any potential buyer, please have insurance for a test drive otherwise i'l take you out, otherwise I want the cash in my hand. Funds must be cleared before you get the car or keys.
Thanks for looking, Craig 07976 138321 or PM me.
Price - £13.995 ono.

I had aching fingers when I did the advert. Its on Pistonheads with 9 photo's, but I cut and pasted it today so cheated a bit! Thought i'd cover everything, I hate adverts with a few lines giving minimal info. I probably still missed something!
Bambi....Yeah I know, not had it that long, but nearly a year. I never keep cars too long, easily bored I suppose. I love the Disco, if it sells i'l get another one day, I just miss having a performance car as my last car had 440bhp.
If it doesn't sell, i'l happily keep it. The car I wanted sold yesterday so not that bothered about selling at the minute. I'l see what interest I get, but the markets quiet at the moment so it may stay on my drive!
Winter will be here , very soon and , and flies to the proverbial , people are getting twitchy , ..... It will sell 2008 ,hse, it does what it says .

Cheers for the input guys!
I'm not in any rush to sell, and might not sell at all. Its my car and ive advertised it for 16k.
I'm open to offers. Its a base model, but with full black leather (7 seats), black paint 8) which I find a popular choice and low milage . Also has nice alloys 8) . I don't like auto boxes either and the manual is more economical .
I am willing to consider lower offers, but not 12k, i'l keep it if that's what its worth with the spec of my 'base' model.

Cheers Keith, it does look good 8)
Its the 6 speed manual mate, I don't like auto's so specifically looked for this one.
20" Super Charger Alloys in black with Pirelli Tyres, think there the Rosso Sports or similar, would have to look and i'm at work.
D4's look amazing mate, the interior's have been brought up to scratch too. I have one on my wish list!
Cheers

had a chat with the wife this am, if if had been auto, i may have made an offer. our nice is just learning to drive, and it would have made a superb first car for her, also i think the look of it is the best i have seen. i have emailed a few people about black wheels, but if they can not supply, then i will be getting mine power coated once the D4 arrives.
perhaps you should just hang onto it, it is a good looking LR.Cheers

Mines a 55 plate SE with 67k and a couple of nice additions/rear screens/tint/side tubes etc. thrown in, good to see mine is holding it's value at my Dec 2010 purchase price of £15.5k.
As for the MPG, I managed 34mpg Leeds > Derby > London and back to Leeds over two days and drove like a bishop, so to get it regular you're doing well.

Everytime a manual is mentioned, out comes the comment D3 incl. genuine glass windscreen, front bi-focal headlights, full width rear bumper, self levelling washer bottle contents and audible 'tick tock' indicator stalk
911 GT3 had one [never]
R8 V12 just gone [past me]
