Wire thats under the roof light, whats it for?
Hi
Today I was routing around in the headlining for the cable for the mic, I have that, but whilst I was there I noticed another connector, that has 4 wires I think, maybe 5, I have a base 7 seat model, and was thinking its for the auto dimming mirror, but that mirror has a connector with only 3 wires, and the larger connector will not fit, what else is possible to be plugged in under the interior lights in the front of the car.
I can try and get a photo tomorrow if its needed.
thanks in advance
John

So there could be another connector in there
I know the mirror mounts are different, but was thinking next windscreen will have the other mount but looking for the supply for it.

Mine still dims sometimes with aftermarket tints - and they are fairly dark, but not limo etc. (Didn't even realise they were aftermarket jobs until recently!)2006 D3 S (I use it when I can prise the keys off the wife!)
2009 Astra CDTi SXi ecoflex (I use this when I can't!)

ok, I took off the tape, and there are two connectors there, I thought there was only one
now I have 2 connectors like and the good news is the white connector fits an interior auto dimming mirror perfectly (not with home link etc) 8) just need to get something to get it mounted on the windscreen as the connector on the screen is different.
Then when I get a new windscreen get the one thats heated, and has the rain sensor in and that should be working (or plug in a couple of more wires to get it working.)
