Which road biased tyre?

I'm ashamed to say that our D3 doesn't venture any further off road than a forest track.

Therefore, I'm interested in the finding out the best tyre for on road performance. Tyre guy is suggesting General Grabbers (not the AT). Any thoughts?

Grabber UHPs are very good indeed if you have 18" wheels. £500 all 4 corners, fitted last year about this time.

Mine's on 19s and tyre guy can't get General Grabbers

Offering me Pirelli Zeros which are on the car at the moment. I'm tempted as they're original spec and I only want to replace 2 but should I really be getting ATRs instead?

(Bear in mind I don't get onto the mud)

You don't need ATR's then if you're staying on piste.
UHP's are alright, don't last too long though. Cheap though.

Keen to stick with Pirellis given the Zeros will be staying on the front for a few months yet.

Zeros or ATRs for best on road performance?

The Zeros should be best as it what they are designed for. The trouble is they don't last very long and towards the end of their short life the performance really drops off. ATRs stay good for a very long time and many on the forum swear by them; even those who never venture off road.
