Hi all,
I know this has been covered many times before, but I just wanted absolute confirmation before spending what I think to be a lot of money.
Will these fit my disco 3?

Thanks in advance!

Tyres are definitely the wrong size, and two have been repaired already...
Wheels are probably the wrong load rating, FFRR wheels are lower rating than D3 wheels normally (but got no info on these). Need to check.
Site Wiki wrote:As at Jan 2009, all Discovery 3 factory fit and dealer fit wheels (17, 18 & 19") have been rated at 940kg per rim. While it is physically possible to fit wheels from the Range Rover Sport and some later FFRR wheels, it should be noted that the rims are rated for a lower weight.
FFRR - 925kg
RRS - 900kg
Fitment of the FFRR or RRS rims may therefore have an impact on your insurance. If in doubt, always check with your insurer. To date there have been no incidents reported on DISCO3.CO.UK of either FFRR or RRS wheels failing, nor have there been any reports of insurers questioning the fitment of these wheels.
Take a nose at the site wiki for more.

Thanks for the info except for the tyres & load rating being wrong (which I'm not worried about) will they fit i.e is the offset ok?

antoniasdad: What did you mean by tyres are wrong size?
ACC1: If you search the forum you'll find loads of info with regards to different alloys / tyres. The load rating issue seems to point more towards problems when using a lower rating offroad. This is where an individual tyre/alloy can come under increased stress due to 1 or 2 wheels being off the ground. I seem to recall that some members have seen the consequences. When running them for everyday use the will load is evenly spread over all 4 corners.
With regards to the alloy fitting, I'm no expert but suspect that a worse case scenario would be the need to fit spacers....
Oh not forgetting the valid point from antoniasdad about the insurance

Leaving aside any issues over load rating, the tyres need to have the correct rolling circumference otherwise speedo / odometer will over read or under read. The site wiki lists the tyre sizes that fall within acceptable limits (a percent or two). The size on the eBay ad are different to any of these, and will be out by 4-5% or more. You might find this OK. If you have a Faultmate (or know a Forum member with one...) you can I believe adjust for any size, but that's not a user setting AFAIK.
Check out the tyre size calculators on the web to see the specifics.
Rim offset on these is listed as 58, D3 is 53. Probably not significant.
Insurance (unapproved size tyres on wheels with the wrong load rating) is more of an issue. You should tell your insurers, it's definitely a "modification" in my view. Standard fit would not be. ____

The offset is the issue - if it higher than 53, there's a good chance the wheel will foul the front brake calipers. This seems to be an issue with 2011 onwards RR alloys going onto a D3. You can solve it by using spacers.
