Reverse camera on sat nav screen |
|
Hi I hope some one can help. I have connected up my reverse camera to the sat nav screen, i can start the car up and the picture is great but after a short while it starts to flicker making it impossible to see. Any ideas.
Thanks Graham

id check the video cable out, there may be a slight break in it or it could be trapped somewhere causing it to lose the signal due to vibration while you driving... i also had it on one i fitted on my dads car it was a problem with the plugs on camera, i just chopped them and soldered them straight together... there isnt really any reason for plug n sockets because how often will u really remove?

Just been out to try it again I had it showing on the way up to the petrol station 1m away. It was ok for most of the trip then the picture started to get worse until it started to flicker, filled up and stuck it on again for the trip home same again. It seems to be ok for 5 min then starts to grain up then flicker, turn off leave for a short while ok again

Sounds like you need a new camera to me....
I had the same on the house system. One of the camera's did exactly the same. Started fine and then went all wavy and couldn't see a thing.... Turned out to be faulty camera....
