Aux input, disco 3 question
Hello all,
I have an aux input socket behind the centre console under a flap. I have just connected my IPOD to it and there was a 'low battery' signal that appeared on the stereo display.
Do i need to worry? or is just because the IPOD is running off its own charge?
Any help is appreciated
thanks

That is only headphone socket so the IPOD is on its own. The low battery mode normally appears when the engine isn't running Joined the BMWX5 45e group

Think it only appears if the volume is turned up quite high - it limits it so you don't run the battery flat quite as quickly.
You'll get better (and louder) sound from the ipod if you can pass the "line out" signal from a dock connector to the aux jack instead of using the headphone output. If not, turn up the volume on the ipod and make sure you don't have the ear protection/volume limiting option turned on!

I was actually just browsing the forum to see how i could increase the aux volume - my ipod was on max volume and I turned up the volume from the stereo control. I then made a schoolboy error and pressed 'CD'....not good for the eardrums or my speakers... I'm sure I will make this mistake again so I will find that dock connector!

I just re-read your post (apologies) -
I'll adjust the headphone settings in the ipod and report back - with eardrums intact, hopefully.
Thanks
