problems pairing Samsung Galaxy S 2 with bluetooth handsfree

Hi all,

Have followed the Land Rover manual and online guide for pairing the Samsung Galaxy S 2 to the bluetooth handsfree system but having no luck.
The phone is compatible according to the Land Rover bluetooth section online but when searching for devices it only finds a device with certain number sequences e.g. 00:10:87:E4...and this cannot be paired. "Land Rover" does not appear.

Anyone had success pairing the S2?

Had no problems at all with the Blackberry in the past.

Any ideas would be most welcome.
Thanks

Jimbob

Got mine to pair no problem, it did come up with a MAC address (your number sequence) to start with but Land Rover did eventually appear aprrox 15 secs. Should note I'm using a D4 blue tooth module though.

I've got a galaxy Ace and it paired straght away. Came up with landrover on bluetooth, and pairs automatically now.

It might be something to do with the bluetooth module on yours. What MY year is it (Mine is 08)

My GSII paired fine, but am having intermittent issues with connectivity loss and general playing-up... But could see the car without problems first time round and "Land Rover" did come up eventually like with the others..

Is it the factory fitted or aftermarket BT unit you have (what code are you using to pair?)

I guess I may need to upgrade to a D4 module for better results Rolling Eyes

Hi, I have just got a Samsung S2 and had similar problems getting the phone to see beyond the MAC address for a while but after a couple of attempts it came up as LAND ROVER on the phone and since then has contacted every time and is a much more reliable connection than my HTC HD2.

What I can't get up is the address book, the screen states 'memory empty' when it previously gave access to my address book - any ideas anyone?

When I receive a call I get the number and then the name of the caller on bothe the centre consul and the dashboard.
