Heated seat not warming up
Right, so it's hardly the season to have heated seats but I'm one of those who wants all his/her toys to work perfectly...
Button gets pushed, both lights on, after a while bottom light goes off as expected, wife should be well into her cooking time by now Alas, the seat is as cold as the microwave pizzas I'll be having when she reads this, both pan and back.
Had a look in the manual, there doesn't seem to be a fuse for the passenger seat heater (the driver's works fine as do the rear ones), in fact according to the fuse list there seem to be no fuses at all for the heated seats.
Local dealer is happy to check it out (still in warranty), which would have been great had he not mentioned the upholster ("...is away so we would have to do this after Easter..."). The reply to my wondering why the upholster would come in handy was "...just in case...". I'm all for taking the seat apart, but surely LR has designed the seats in a way that one can get to replaceable parts without tearing the fabric/leather???
So my fellow enthusiasts, has anyone else's heated seat stopped working while indicating it should? And if so has anyone bothered fixing it? I would much rather have a fiddle myself than risk having the whole seat torn apart and re-upholstered by -ahem- my local dealer...
Cheers!

Did it stop working rather than has never worked??? My car was in for new seat covers when they discovered the heating elements were not fitted at manufacture!

There is a couple of fuses in the engine bay fuse box for heated seats
Obviously this dosent help with the passenger seat issue ..but for future reference you know were to look G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Was working fine up until about three weeks ago... so hardware is fitted for sure.
Cheers Wiggs Added to my list of "addendum" items for the manual...
Like you said though, given drivers' works fine, doubt that's the culprit...

Is the ATCM 'Off'? the LED's will operate normally but the seat won't heat, also, if the battery voltage was low upon starting, the heated seats will not operate until terminal voltage is >14.25VDC

Sorry 10for, ATCM?
Re the voltage, that should presumably apply to both seats, though the driver's works fine...

The heating elements in car seats are quite sensitive. A common cause of failure is pressure from a knee or fist when trying to reach stuff inside the car.

Thanks Henrik. It may have been that is what happened as it often happens... though still not sure why the back element would go...
I'll try everything I can to diagnose before I have to take it in in the end...

Are both front heated seats not working or is it just the heating on the driver's seat.
