Change dashboard language display |
|
Can anyone tell me if there is a simple way to change the language on the dashboard display, or is this something that has to be carried out at a dealer? Thanks in advance.

Dealer only, you cannot change it by yourself.

I changed mine using my Faulmate MSV-2.
The language is just another parameter in the CCF and can be changed in around 30 seconds.
I'm not sure even if the dealer can do it. I would imagine they should be able to, but when I bought mine 4 years ago they tried to change it from Spanish to English using IDS and couldn't do it. 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

Paul,
They can do it on IDS, the German dealer changed mine from German to English 6 years ago when I bought it from them.

Hi Arpad,
Thanks - it makes sense that they should be able to change the language as it is just a parameter change in the CCF and doesn't really mean a trim-level change, but the guys at the LR dealer where I bought it couldn't figure out how to do it...

Yeah, took the Germans two hours to figure it out, but they did it eventually.

Just to update this thread as I’ve had similar issue with the dash changing itself to Italian (with the help of a 3yr old)
To change the language (assuming you have LandRover Sat Nav) on first start up you get the usual do not use this when driving disclaimer. On this screen is a world logo, press this and you can choose the language of the disclaimer... this ALSO changes the dash language and the Sat Nav language.
Hope this helps people who have the wrong language or who want to change the language on their dash, could also be good for a prank 😏 2 D3 ‘s’ ambulance conversions and 2 D3 ‘SE’ for home (His and Hers)
