Suspension fault Amber light on

Hi all,
Had my 05' plate D3 TDV6 for just over a month and very impressed. We did our first major journey yesterday down to Cornwall for a week which went really well, however the amber suspension warning light came on this afternoon whilst driving in a B&Q car park at about 10 mph.

I then drove it steadily back to where we are staying (about 5 miles). I didn't notice anything different with the drive back. Turned the ignition off and left it for a few mins and then turned it back on and no more warning light?????

Does anyone have any idea's? And is it ok to drive as the light is only amber or is it likely to turn red if I keep driving before getting it looked at? Down in Cornwall for a wk then a 300 mile trip back to Sussex.

Hi radders,

I had this last year for about 2 weeks then the air dryer unit went pop on the air compressor.

Fairly easy job to fix if it is that.

It failed at my bros wedding in Weymouth so had to drive back to the Midlands on the bump stops!!!

No damage and all repaired in about an hour.

Take the compressor housing off and see if you can see any hairline cracks around the dryer unit.

It may be a multitude of other bits or we may be welcoming you to CF Air comp!!

Thumbs Up

I had this problem as well (Amber suspension light).

Turned out to be a faulty suspension height sensor on one wheel.

You may also want to check your tyre pressures.

Same issue here- turned out to be a dryer. Drove for about a 1000 miles, worked fine.
