Best road tyres?

Currently on Pirelli Scorpions. Seem to have done around 16K miles and now need to replace two.

Pirelli's again, or Michelin or what?

Car is mainly used on road and am looking for good handling, ride and economy.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I had Pirelli when I got mine. I think they did 30K on them as were pretty low when I got them.

I not long changed for Grabber AT2's - huge amount of tread.

SWMBO does mainly road but occassionally in fields for the dogs.

Tyres are brilliant. No real difference in road noise and they look so much better than the Pirelli's . The times I have been in a field they work well

I'm planning to try some Hankook RH06 when our Scorpions wear out. Have seen other comments on here that they are good on-road and "good for a road tyre" off-road. This is probably good enough for our needs.

Not sure I'd want Scorpions on one axle and these on another though - I'm planning to change all 4 at once

guys, I'm running Yokohama Advan ST's (albeit in 265/50x20's), and have been extremely surprised at the good wear rate (along with great handling and on road grip) of these tyres. I had them on my old D3 for 18k miles, then took the wheels and tyres off and put them straight onto my latest D3, and have now done another 15k miles on them (so at 33k miles). I'm down to about 3mm now, so still some mileage left as well.

worth look at Thumbs Up
