Appologies for resurrecting a really old thread but does anyone know if this method of cable routing would work with a D4? Or is there a better route?
Cheers, Bri

This is still fine for the D4, we still fit them like this for LRE. Sure people will come up with many other options if you ask! I like this way as you don't get the cable running down the upper tailgate to the rear lights to go in.
I have 6 cables going into mine this way and it still has not leaked yet! Off Roading is OK.... But I'd rather be Boating!

Oh, timely thread resurrection. About to run cable through headlining to an installation in a modified light console so this is a brucey-bonus I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Refit top tailgate trim and run cable to front of vehicle in normal way or how ever takes your fancy.
Apologies, but for the benefit of the new boy what is the 'normal' way in a Disco 4? How do I get a cable from the rear left corner to the centre console?

Wish I’d seen this thread about ten years ago when I put my aerial cable in through the vent behind the rear lights!
To get to the centre console, if you’ve got rubber mats on the floor you can just run the cable under those, across the carpet. If it was a more fragile cable or carrying power it’d be better go along the channel along the side under the plastic door trims, and then round under the dash.

Great thread survival and only last week I was thinking about how to get power and aerial to my expedition rack! Many thanks for the clear instructions
