Hi all,
First up. Apologies if this is answered already. I searched but failed.
I have just bought a 58 Disco 3 (handy since this is the forum).
The CD autochanger is the stock item I believe with the Harmon Kardon system.
The CD won't accept any disks, and claims to be empty.
I've had the changer out and can see that the flap is not opening. I opened it manually and the CD goes further into the system, but is not 'grabbed' and taken in.
All other functions work just fine.
Is it worth stripping down the unit any further, or is this a common fault and it's dead?
If I were to replace it with a different unit would I break the Harmon Kardon system? I am thinking that amplifiers are all in the same unit so if I change that I'll have either no amps, or not very good amps.
Is there another option?
Thanks,
Lance.

fabulous. That works a treat.
Thank you.
Why do I get the feeling that a main dealer would have taken £150 to 'fix' that?
