Which rubber to buy

Am currently running pirrelli scorpions (18s)they are worn on the inside edges at the rear after 21k, may be too high pressure due to towing, car seems to be running true so dont think tracking out. What else can i fit that will last a little longer but wont hammer economy, road noise etc. Cheers

Either Pirelli ATR or Grabber AT2 or even Grabber UHP will all give better mileage than pirelli zeros Thumbs Up

Talula,
Have you had your D3 checked to see if it falls in to the "Bush settlement" TSB. Mine was exactly the same when I bought it and had the bushes adjusted and new tyres for free.

Trev,

And don't overlook the Vredestein Wintrak 4 Extreme - I switched to them from Scorpions and they have been excellent on and off road, even improving economy slightly over the Pirelli's. Much better value than the competiton too, and last far longer than the soft Scorpion rubber. Don't be put off by it being a winter tyre - it's been fantastic during the mixed weather summer we've had so far this year.

I had to make this choice a few months ago, I narrowed it down to ATR pirellis and Wintrac Extreames, managed to get the Pirelli's at the same price as the Wintracs £640 fitted for 4, have done about 9k on the ATR and they are still have 7.5mm tread left! my scorpions would have been 1/2 worn! the ATR's seem quieter than the scorpoins, they are better on wet fields when towing the tin tent, road holding seems the same on the B road twisties, performed well at Tong off raod course, either or would be a good choice, for me I liked the look of the ATR's more than the Wintracs, but comparing them side by side there is no differance in the tyre's performance, it seems to be down to the cost and the looks! I managed to get mine from Kwick Fit, they are having an offer at the moment on Pirelli 25% of 4 Thumbs Up
