What Headlamps do I have?? |

Getting a bit confused by the headlamp posts. I have a MY2015 HSE standard model. What headlamps will it have?? and what can I do to up-rate them. Confused by the Zenon thing. Help!! www.land-rover-lightweight.co.uk/

As far as I know the 2015 hse comes with Xenon as standard, as for up rating I don't know my lights are bright enough but I am considering driving/spot lights just because I like the look of a discovery with them fitted.

Just upgrade the bulbs,
If halogens, osram NightBreakers work for me,
If xenons I'm not sure
Look at advanced factors, they will tell you what your after.

I'm sure they will be Xenon on a late model D4
my MY10 HSE has them, as did my MY05 D3 SE
As for brightness, never caused me an issue.

Absolutely certain to be Xenon's on your car, the only option when new would have been to upgrade them to adaptive (swiveling) headlamps
The cost to do this now would be prohibitive; the only option to modify them would be to change the "bulbs" to new one's of a different colour temperature (shade of white) - the light output will remain the same, however
Looks like the only worthwhile option would be to fit additional lamps 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

What would you like to tell? They are definitely Xenon
To prove it, when you switch the lights off at night, the light should cease instantly, Halogen will "cool down" noticeably over a 1/4 of a second or so
Likewise, when you switch them on, halogen has a noticeable warming up over a fraction of a second, whereas Xenon will be instant, with the light initially appearing even brighter than standard, then colling down to its standard light output after a fraction of a second 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
