Limp mode on acceleration
Afternoon all
This question relates to my son's 2007 D3 auto TDV6.
The motor had been off colour of late. Nothing specific, but not running well (when compared to mine at least) He took some advice locally and as a result replaced the fuel pressure sensor. He reported that the car seemed to be running much better....until it spluttered to a halt, having cut out.
Diesel everywhere under the bonnet, traced to the fuel rail and duly repaired by the attending AA man, at which point he was back on his way.
What's happening now is that if he boots it when the car is at normal op temp. it goes into limp mode with the 3 amigo's and a range of faults - transmission, parking brake, engine fault. All clear on restart. When I took it out earlier and read the codes, the only one showing was U2023.
I appreciate that this could be a number of things (high pressure fuel pump springs to mind), but I wondered whether anyone had experienced similar and had pin-pointed a solutions or some things to try?

Replace the fuel filter with a genuine item. If that doesn't resolve it you'll need to consider the lpfp in the tank. Again, genuine or a Britpart replacement is fine. There's plenty written on here regarding testing it if you do a search.
The hpfp should be your last port of call. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Had a problem last November with the vehicle going into limp mode when the accelerator was pushed beyond a certain level. Restarting the vehicle cleared the limp mode only for it to reappear once again on accelerating. The fuel filter was changed and the problem went away.
