Right hand Windscreen washer slow to operate

I've had a look through the forum, but couldn't find anything about this.

Does anyone else have an issue where the left front washer operates before the right when the button is pressed? (UK spec)
I've never had it on any other vehicle. If anything, I would expect the drivers side to operate first if it was a design function.

The usually operator together. The pipe arrives at the left jet first.

Possible causes:

Water is draining back to the tank when not used. Don’t think these have a non return valve.
Drivers jet is blocked and requires more water pressure. Or pipe kinked in bonnet

There Maybe a filter gauze in the seal between the tank and pump. May need unblocking

I had a delay when using mine on both sides. Used to press the button and the water needed ages to start spraying. Turned out there is a non-return valve before each jet and those started leaking like crazy. I had all the water running from there into the bonnet sound proofing thing and leaking all over the scuttle when opened. Delay was because the water drained all the way back into the tank instead of staying in the tubes and ready when needed.

Had this happen twice!

I used universal non-return valves and problem solved.

Although as mentioned above it might be as simple as a blocked jet nozzle but if you think the pressure is low might be worth checking the non-return valves.
