FBH Consumption

I was wondering if anybody had any idea how much diesel the FBH would use. I know it will depends on many factors like outside temp and lenght of time it runs for but are there any figures anywhere which would give me an indication.

Regards

Ian

Fuel consumption is quoted as:-
full load (5.2kW) 0.61 litres / hour
part load (2.5kW) 0.30 litres / hour
also bear in mind that the FFBH will run if the coolant temperature drops below 70 degrees C whilst the vehicle is in use...
Full load to part load 72 degrees C
Part load to control idle 78 degrees C
Control idle to part load 70 degrees C
Part load to full load 65 degrees C

Ian... why is it a concern ?

If the fuel level in the D3 is low, the FBH will not start up.

Uses such little fuel on a typical journey (where the engine has time to warm up) that I would not worry too much.

Hi, I've been keeping a spreadsheet to record mpg based on miles used per full tank; I know this would not be 100% accurate and subject to how consistently I can fill the tank, but I would have expected to have results much closer to the figure shown by the ob-board computer.

My spreadsheet regularly calculates figures of 3-5 mpg lower.

I was wondering whether the fuel used by the FBH was suffient to account for some of the discrepancy.

Regards
