Just a quick hello, I've not been active for a while but just thought id check in with you all.I retired in April and have been busy sorting things out since the death of my mother. I spend a lot of time mountain biking doing coast to coast and other long distance trips like that. A lot of it it done with another old forum member from here ENT.
I turned 60 in August and have been touring Europe this summer in our motorhome (And getting some mountain biking in too whilst over there !)
I still have my old Disco who now has 181,000 miles on her and is still going strong (I hope thats not the kiss of death ! ) I hope you're all well (I still can see some old names on the message boards ) Mark......

Good to hear from you Mark, and good to see you making the most of your retirement.
Next year or two I intend to do similar and travel more to make up for lost time.

Looks like you’ve been too busy to post anyway! Sounds like a great retirement, and good to hear old ENT’s going strong.

I know the bubble will burst eventually, but they are holding their value very well at the moment.
I was at the dealer the other day and very little second hand stock and a very long wait for a new one.
Pretty much the same with a lot of new cars at the moment hence used car prices are sky high.
Ive been looking for an Audi S5 cabriolet at a reasonable price and have been surprised at the price garages want to charge even for highish milage ones. Im hoping that prices will fall a little as winter draws closer as nobody wants to put their roof down for 6 months
My next choice would be a Nissan 370Z but the prices of those are mental for low milage examples !The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
