[For Sale] Discovery 4 3.0 2009 on 59 Plate -£10k
Hi Everyone the time has come for me to move on from my current D4 ownership after 4 years with what has been a truly fantastic car. It won’t be ready until after this weekend as I want to spend some time detailing it to get it looking it’s best for the next owner. Spec and details as follows:
2009 59 Plate 3.0 Discovery 4 GS
120k miles FSH
All books and packs and both keys etc - I’m the 3rd Owner from new
Stornoway Grey
Upgrades over the GS Spec include:
Full black leather from the factory and with heated electric adjustable front seats with the arm rests
Xenon headlights
Front fogs and parking sensors all round
Heated steering wheel
Flappy paddles on the wheel also
Centre console fridge.
Genuine LR Roof bars
Facelift from Grille (original will come with the car)
Fixed towbar with13 pin electrics
In my opinion this is a great year and engine as it is pre DPF and Pre Adblue making maintenance and running much simpler and less problematic
I bought this car in August 2018 at 101k miles and in my ownership it has also had the following:
- Both cam belts tensioners and auxiliary belts replaced (by Flak on this forum)
- Both inlet manifolds replaced with genuine LR items by LRC in Congleton
- Gearbox flush and software update by Bodsy on this Forum
-Just had two new rear upper arms and new rear drop links and full 4 wheel alignment.
- Chassis fully cleaned and wax oiled
- New high level rear brake light genuine LR installed by LRC
- New genuine fuel filter and housing fitted by LRC
-New genuine rubber mats and I also have the original carpet ones which were removed when the car was new by the 1st Owner.
- sidesteps fitted approx 12 months ago and sills were like new and well protected when the steps were fitted.
20” genuine LR wheels with 4 excellent and matching Michelin tyres with no repairs and plenty of life. The wheels are unmarked and like new. I also bought a new 20” spare alloy space saver and tire and the -9” one can come with the car too if wanted.
Everything works as it should and the car has been well maintained. Passed its August MOT with no Advisories.
The bodywork is generally very good and the car is often commented on about how clean it looks. There is a scuff on the rear bumper on one corner and two small car park door dinks ( one on the drivers side door and one on drivers side rear door. Both could be brought out quite easily I’m sure by a PDR person but I don’t notice them so have never caused me any need to.
This is a great example of an early 3.0 D4. It’s not new so will have some age and mileage related marks but I can honestly say it’s been great the 4 years I have owned it and will miss the car!
Bought to tow a caravan which it is fantastic at but we just don’t do it much!
Asking for £10k which I think is fair and realistic for the car. I will also post more pics this weekend but welcome any enquiries beforehand.
Thanks
Andy

Looks and sounds like an excellent D4 for someone.
Don’t think you’ll have much trouble moving this on.
GLWTS ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
< ‘tis but a mere scratch …….. it’ll polish out.

Hi Andy. Is there any chance you still have this vehicle for sale? Thanks, Liam

Hi Liam
Yes I do still have the D4. I’ve not really pushed selling it as it didn’t get much interest and no one came to view so I ended up just keeping it. But I would happily still sell.
As I have continued to use it’s now on a few hundred miles under 122k. miles so would be open to adjusting the price to reflect that accordingly and it had a service at a local place at the back end of last year. Everything is still as per the advert and it’s in daily use. PM me if you would like any more info or to view etc.
Thanks
Andy

Replied👍 let me know if the pics came through but will post on here as well just in case
I’ve tried to highlight the marks:
1) small indent on lower plastic trim on the rear bumper
2) paint scuff on the rear bumper
3) Door dink on drivers side rear door
4) Door dink on drivers door
Hope that helps
Cheers
