Cabling/Wiring management for pull out drawer

I have a light overland setup with a three battery system. One starter, two leisure batteries, a monitor and a few 12v outputs and USB's added. It was done pretty last minute and now needs tidying up.

In the boot space there is a fridge on a runner/drawer. The drawer holds the fridge with a leisure battery, but since adding the monitor there is quite a bit of cabling there and it's starting to trap the wires when opening and closing the drawer. It's much more frustrating than it should be!

Do any of you guys have any ideas or examples of how to work with cabling and a drawer slide?

Also the fridge is connected to the leisure battery with a 12v male to female connection. Is this a straight swap if I wanted to do it with Anderson plugs?

Thanks again!
Graeme.

ARB do a nice kit

I did find a UK supplier but can't find link at the moment. If I find it, I'll report back.

I think RS Components do similar cable guides for industrial/shop floor usage so may be worth a look there Thumbs Up

That's a cable management guide for a HP or Dell rack mount server great to stop snagging etc but will take up a bit of space behind - if you search on eBay for a HP Proliant cable management system you will find them for around £20ish

Thanks guys, will have a look for arms, although it's very tight where it's going. I might try a standard cable sleeve and some ties to get me through until I have a chance to put it right. I've started splitting some of the insulation on the cables catching the runner and want to avoid that at all costs...

I use one on my pull-out keyboard tray on my desk. It's one of the lighter duty versions and fully closed takes up less than an inch.

Thanks guys! I 'Frankensteined it' for the weekend camping as it was annoying me so much. Working great for now but will get back to it later in the summer. I had the same thought about the retractable badge holder bit too.... think that might be a mid solution before going in on an arm...

if you look through the HP server cabinet parts lists, they do a heavy-duty version of your "retractable key" thingy. It returns the server to its correct position if not locked in the "out" position, I believe. We never used them ... I probably have a couple in the garage BUT if you saw my garage, you would understand why I can't make any sort of offer of sending you one as the likelihood of finding it is nil Sad
