AMK to Hitachi Compressor

When reverting back to the Hitachi compressor what needs to be done for it to be fully operational?

Replaced both front height sensors, the pump is new and working but there is no action, Yellow warning light keeps returning even after using the Britpart Lynx Tool.

Have you changed the software?- AMK will run on Hitachi software, but Hitachi will not run on AMK software.

Do you not think you should perhaps deal with the height sensor fault first, seeing as you have a suspension issue?

Thanks M3DPO that is what I was thinking but you helped to confirm.

Someone here replaced the original for an AMK without my consent and the car was never the same afterwards, so I have decided to reinstate the original but obviously that person changed the software programming for the AMK to work.

really frustrating.

Can I drive it with the low pressures in the front to nearest dealer which is 40 miles away???

Yes it will run ok on Hitachi software and many are running on it, AMK software runs at a lower pressure than Hitachi and so extends the life of the compressor.
Hitachi will not run on AMK software. Thumbs Up

Yes if you have Hitachi software installed, no if you have AMK software installed.

My D4 had Hitachi software and AMK compressor fitted from new, 9 years later it is still going strong, although I have since changed the software to AMK only because I had the Iid tool to do it Thumbs Up
