CMG went from Immingham to Brevik, drove to Odda via Stravanger and now he's on route back to the UK π Apologies for the previous brevity, I hadn't realised there was a minimum word countπππ
Will update further when I get a look at it and see what the issue was.π
CMG have been excellent and came highly recommended.

Well I finally got my D3 back from Norway today. A little later than advertised but back and that's the main thing. Will over the course of the coming weeks start to diagnose the issue but I'll start a new thread for that.π
For now I am just glad to have her back in my garage.

So I started prepping the D3 today for dropping the chassis out. I also thought that I would drop the oil and check it. Nothing in the oil so I dropped the sump, but nothing in there either. I then checked the oil pick up pipe and found these little ! Looks like bearing shell material possibly? Non metallic.
Well at least I know it's now really worth changing the engine π€£ππ
So far the worse bit about lifting the body is the small bolts on the lower bit of the bumper shearing off apart from 1. The rest I am just taking my time and working through the guides on here and also the piston broke garage video. I am in no rush but it's going fine so far. Let's hope the rest goes as well.
Tried posting an image but it didn't go for some reason? What you guys using to post images on here please?

Maybe this link to my collection on this job will help. I think I'll start another engine change post specific though but just wanted to close this one with a few pictures.π
