Hi Spotter
It's a TD V6 SE xeon lights
Problem is when I am driving at night on full beam and have to dip for oncoming traffic quite often (more so than not) the lights only dip partially and oncoming traffic flash me, then sometime later 1 min to 15 mins they dip fully. I can see the cut off of the beam quite sharp when fully dipped and not so when partially dipped.
I will add that my local LR dealer can not seem to find the fault .
Cheers

aha, you must be popular locally.

I assume the shutter thing is not working properly....which your dealer can't replicate?

I am afraid I am no expert but one will be along shortly no doubt

Sounds like your Zenons are dipping but full bean halogens are staying on.

Censored knows what you do about it though Thumbs Up
What if the "Hokey Cokey" really is what it's all about?

Mine's doing the same at the moment. It's the shutter on one of the Xenons getting stuck. The lamp in the Xenons is constant and the high low beam is done with a mechanical shutter. The shutter is getting stuck sometimes (off side on mine) and free's it's self after a time or sometimes the high / low is flashed a few times.
It's a dealer fix with the light unit being replaced. Don't be fobbed off! It's hard for the dealer to replicate as it does not happen all the time, also once mine has done it once in an evening (normally 1st use) it does not do it again, so no amount of flashing by the dealer will replicate the fault.. They have to take your word for it. Try to assertain which unit it is..
Will book mine in next week so lets hope they take mu word for it Laughing

I agree shutter sticking.
Safety issue so it could cause an accident if dealer fails to fix. That should get the dealer to fix it.
