NATO tow hitch for discovery 3
Hi,
Anyone out there know how to get a NATO tow hitch to attach well to a disco3 for towing a Sankey trailer.
Seen loads of NATO hitches on Ebay but wont fit my LR multi-height tow bar fitting; the NATOs seem designed for defenders.
Ive seen something ideal on posts from October 2007 bt Skippy Blue, RLD, Slimer but cant contact them directly as ive only just joined a few minutes ago.

There is one made my a firm in South Africa, they sell over here for about £260 I think. Saw them at the LRO Show in Peterborough, but can't for the life of me remember who was selling them. It was quite a big stand though, sold all sorts of equipment for expeditions and the like! 2014 D4 XS

Made by forum member RLD ( Ray ) ...bolts onto towing eye aswell for added protection .
Just keep posting on here and you will soon be able to send a PM.
From his post enquiring about the frying of fish in Wales I suspect Ray (RLD) may not be at home base at present, and if so is probably away beyond the edge of the Internet.

RLD actually made contact with me via pm when i tried to pm him. Fate! Ive emailed him but hope he doesnt burn the fish whilst replying.
Crossing the border is no issue for me as Ive lived in Ecosse & my brother moved there last month. You're right though, may be too far.

I spoke to Ray about a hidden winch, but he said he'd retired and only doing small stuff like aerial mounts. He may consider the Nato hitch small stuff though. If he does, let me know as I may have one too.Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey
